Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti NVS has published recruitment for the posts of Principal, Post Graduate Teachers, Assistant Commissioners, Assistant and for Computer Operators. The syllabus for this recruitment as post wise is mentioned below.

1. Syllabus for the post of Principal (Total 180 Marks)

  • Part 1 - Reasoning Ability.
  • Part 2 - General Awareness.
  • Part 3 - Language test (General English and General Hindi - 15  marks each subject).
  • Part 4 - Academics (Educational aspects).
A. Child Development & Pedagogy - Child Development - physical, intellectual, emotion & social; Problems of adolescence - role of home, school, hostel and society in dealing with them. 
Learning:
  • Concepts 
  • Factor affecting learning 
  • Motivation and measures for creating effective learning situations. 

B. Perspective in education 
  • Right to Education (RTE) 2009, POSCO, child rights 
  • NCF 2005, Learning Outcome 
  • School organization 
  • Institutions of higher learning & research of India.
  • Formal & distance education systems.
  • Good governance in the school system.


C. Teaching Methodology 
  • ICT in education 
  • Curriculum 
  • Academic Planning 
  • Assessment & Evaluation 

D. Rights & duties of Principal in residential schools 
  • Right & duties of Principal with reference to different stakeholders.
  • Development and maintenance of facilities & assets.
  • Role of the Principal in promoting excellence in academics & curricular activities.
  • Promotion of ethics and values in academic institutions. 
Part 5 - Administration & Finance CCA (CCS) Rules,    Medical Attendant Rules, Fundamental and  Supplementary  Rules, CPF & NPS Rules, Travelling Allowances  Rules, PFMS, LTC Rules, General Financial Rules (GFR), Income Tax, ERP for schools.                            

2. Syllabus for the Post of Assistant Commissioner           (180 Marks)

  • Part 1 - Reasoning Ability.
  • Part 2 - General Awareness.
  • Part 3 - Language test (General English and General Hindi - 15   marks each subject).
  • Part 4 - Quantitative Aptitude.
  • Part 5 - GFR, FR & SR and latest DOPT orders circulars, CCS (Conduct  Rules, CCS (CCA) Rules, LTC Rules, New Pension Scheme, CCS (MA) Rules.
3. Syllabus for the Post of Assistant (130 Marks)
  • Part 1 - Reasoning Ability.
  • Part 2 - Quantitative Aptitude.
  • Part 3 - Language test (General  English  and  General   Hindi - 15 marks each subject).
  • Part 4 - Knowledge of Computer Operation, General Knowledge on Constitution of India, New Pension   Scheme, POSCO Act, RTI.
4. Syllabus for the Post of Computer Operator                  (130 Marks)
  • Part 1 - Reasoning Ability.
  • Part 2 - General Awareness.
  • Part 3 - Language test (General  English and General Hindi - 15 marks each subject).
  • Part 4 - Basic knowledge of Computer as a subject
5. Syllabus for the Post of Computer Operator             (180 Marks)
General  English  &  Hindi, General  Awareness, General Intelligence, Numerical Ability & Reasoning, Teaching Aptitude and concerned subject knowledge. The difficulty level of the question papers for PGTs will be of Post Graduation standard.
